Program description

Chief Tahgee Elementary Academy (CTEA) sends text messages to parents and guardians to keep families informed. By opting in, you agree to receive school-related text messages from CTEA at the mobile number you provide.

Messages may include:

Emergency alerts and safety notifications
School closures, weather delays, and early dismissals
Schedule changes and pick-up or dismissal updates
Attendance notifications
Reminders about school events, conferences, and deadlines

CTEA will not use this program to send advertising or marketing messages.

Eligibility and consent

This program is for parents, legal guardians, and emergency contacts of enrolled CTEA students. Students do not enroll themselves.

You may opt in by providing your mobile number on your student's enrollment or contact form, through the school office, or by texting STOP to 2082372710. By opting in, you confirm that you are the account holder or have the account holder's permission to receive messages at that number.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment. Please keep your contact information current with the front office.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies. Most families receive a few messages per month, with more during emergencies, weather events, or busy times of the school year.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. CTEA does not charge for this service.

How to opt out or get help

To stop messages: Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one final text confirming you have been unsubscribed. You may also call the front office to be removed.
To get help: Reply HELP to any message, or contact the school office using the information below.
To rejoin: Reply START or contact the front office.

Please note: if you opt out, you will also stop receiving emergency and closure alerts by text. You may still receive those alerts by phone call or email.

Privacy

CTEA uses your mobile number only to send school communications. We will not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text opt-in information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your number may be shared only with the messaging service provider that delivers CTEA's texts, and only as needed to send them. Student information is protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and messages will not include sensitive student records.

Carriers, changes, and contact

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and coverage, so text alerts should not be your only source of emergency information.

CTEA may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and continued participation means you accept the updated terms.
